Somnus will repair or replace, free of charge, any product which becomes defective within five years from the date of purchase due to faulty materials or poor workmanship.
Somnus mattresses are upholstered using the finest quality fillings which will tend to settle over the first few weeks or months. Do not worry if hollows appear in the sleeping areas of the mattress leaving a central area of unsettled fillings as this is caused as a result of the fillings compacting under body weight. This is quite normal and is not a fault. By following the turning/rotating instructions, in due course the fillings will compress to a near even level over the entire mattress surface.
Faults resulting from unreasonable or improper use will not be covered by this guarantee. Examples of such misuse would include:
- Allowing the product to become soiled or insanitary.
- Ignoring the Care Instructions.
- Subjecting the product to excessive wear and tear.
- Where a mattress is used with a base which is not fit for purpose, or in the case of slatted bases where the gap between the slats is greater than 75mm.
- Rolling or folding your mattress.
Somnus may vary the terms of this guarantee, if in our sole opinion; the circumstances in any case are such as to require special consideration.
Where a replacement is required Somnus reserves the right to substitute an alternative fabric if the original has been discontinued. However, we do endeavour to match the original fabric but when one part of a set is replaced it is possible for a slight dye batch colour variation to occur and therefore headboards or divan bases may vary slightly.
The terms of this guarantee in no way limit your consumer, legal and statutory rights.
